Old dogs and thin-coated cats feel the cold in a way that a thicker bed does not fix. A blanket only holds in the heat an animal produces, and if there is not much of it to begin with, the bed stays cold and so do they.

The CosyWatt Heated Pet Mat produces its own warmth. It plugs into the mains and runs at a low, steady temperature through a plush pom-pom surface, so the bed is already warm when your pet lies down rather than an hour later.

It comes in two sizes and with a choice of controller: a simple three-setting switch, or a nine-setting controller with a lit display and a timer. Both run on very little power — this is gentle background warmth, not a radiator.

Good to Know

📐 Sizes: S 35 x 30 cm · L 60 x 40 cm

🎚️ Controllers: 3 settings, or 9 settings with display and timer
🧵 Surface: thick pom-pom plush, fleece-lined
🔌 Power: mains, with an inline controller on the cable

Why You'll Love It

🌡️ Warm Before They Lie Down
The mat holds its temperature steadily rather than waiting for body heat. For an arthritic dog getting up and down through the night, that is the whole point of it.

🎚️ Three or Nine Settings
The nine-setting controller shows the level on a lit display and has a timer, so it can run for a set period and switch itself off. The three-setting version is a plain slider for anyone who would rather not think about it.

🐾 Thick Pom-Pom Surface
The top is a deep bobbled plush that stays soft against the skin and spreads the warmth evenly, instead of the thin wipe-clean vinyl most heat pads use.

🪶 Two Sizes
S at 35 x 30 cm suits a cat or a small dog curled up; L at 60 x 40 cm takes a medium dog stretched out or two cats who tolerate each other.

💡 Low Running Cost
A heat mat of this size draws a fraction of what a space heater does. Warming the animal rather than the room is the cheaper way round.

🧺 Washable Cover
The plush cover comes off for washing, which matters for something a pet sleeps on every night of the winter.

🐈 For the Ones Who Feel It Most
Kittens and puppies, elderly pets, short-haired breeds and animals recovering from illness all struggle more with cold rooms than a healthy adult does.

🛏️ Use It Anywhere
It sits inside an existing basket, on a sofa cushion, in a crate or on the floor by a radiator. It does not replace the bed you already have.

🎨 Khaki or Grey
Both are quiet, neutral colours that disappear into a room rather than announcing themselves.

⚠️ Keep an Eye on the Cable
As with any mains-powered mat, route the cable out of reach of a chewer and unplug it when nobody is home. The controller sits on the lead rather than under the pet.

Warmth That Does Not Wait

Start on a low setting and let your pet find it. Most animals work out what it is within a day and then claim it entirely.

Choose the size by how your pet sleeps rather than by how big they are — a dog that curls up tight needs far less mat than one that sprawls.
